SKILLS
Here are some additional skills I have picked up along the way outside of formal qualifications.
MAC MAESTRO
I have an in depth understanding of macOS and Mac hardware having only ever used them exclusively my whole life. I have also had experience in providing Mac support for large-scale hybrid Mac/PC networks.
NOTABLE SOFTWARE
I am generally very fast at learning new pieces of software but some notable pieces I am very confident with:
• Logic Pro X
• Final Cut Pro X
• Screenflow
• MS Office and iWork Suite (Pages, Keynote & Numbers)
• Various graphic design packages (Pixelmator, Art Text 4)
... and lots more.
OTHER INTERESTS / HOBBIES
ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY
I've always had a fascination with the night sky as no matter how my day has been it never fails to put things into perspective! I recently took up attempting to photograph it. I consider myself an extreme novice and I'm the first to admit that the results are modest but find the process extremely therapeutic! If you're interested, here's what I've managed so far.
BREWING
Started out with kits but very quickly got the bug and moved on to all-grain brewing and creating my own recipes, which have turned out great (although I might be biassed 🙂).
METAL DETECTING
Metal detecting has the ability to directly connect us with history, picking up items that haven't been touched for centuries, or even millennia since they were dropped / lost by their owners! Some of my best finds include several ancient roman silver coins, dozens of hammered silver english coins and a hand-sized bronze roman bust.
